The World Bank e-Library, is an online, fully cross-searchable portal of over 4,500 World Bank documents. The collection consists of over 1,800 World Bank publications and over 2,700 Policy Research Working Papers, plus each new book and paper as they are published.

This new site currently contains the full World Development Indicators (WDI); Global Development Finance (GDF); Africa Development Indicators (ADI); Global Economic Monitor (GEM); Education Statistics, and Health Nutrition and Population Statistics as well as several other World Bank databases. The data is available in Arabic, French, and Spanish in addition to English.

The World Bank Global Economic Monitor (GEM)

World Development Indicators (WDI) publication is the World Bank s premier annual compilation of data about development. The 2007 WDI includes more than 900 indicators in over 80 tables organized in 6 sections: World View, People, Environment, Economy, States and Markets, and Global Links. Data are shown for 152 economies with populations of more than 1 million, as well as for Taiwan, China, in selected tables. Table 1.6 presents selected indicators for 56 other economies—small economies with populations between 30,000 and 1 million and smaller economies if they are members of the World Bank.
